The Cottage on the Rock

Very convenient location. Very straightforward to find and only a short easy walk from the long stay car park and station. Bags of character and nicely presented. Comfortable and well equipped. Chock full of thoughtful touches- eg: two keys, both with a convenient detachable lanyard to use if you chose. Decent basic kitchen supplies. No stupid sample sizes of anything. Nice quality furnishings. A decent shower with plenty of hot water!

If you could criticise anything it would be that the property is very small, with wonky floors and low ceilings. But that would show you hadn’t read the description which makes this aspect quite clear before you book. If you want spacious, this is not the place for you.

A great little "wonky cottage" ideally located for plenty of walks but with the benefit of Barmouth town right on your doorstep for bars restaurants and shops. Beds were very comfortable and the cottage had everything we needed for a great weekend.

The cottage was a little bit short on comfortable seating, we were 3 (intended to be 4) 6ft+ men, so one of us had to sit on the very small upright sofa, if our 4th person had been able to make it they would have had to sit on the floor, but appreciate this is restricted by the layout.
