The Cotswolds Hidden Gem

Location was great - in the centre of Moreton in Marsh and a great base to travel to other places in the Cotswolds. Nearby car parking was always available, day and evening (mid-Sept). Conveniently situated for a good supermarket. Towel rail always ensured dry, cosy towels. Bathroom was well supplied. Tea bags, coffee and Coffee Mate was provided.

Spiral staircase didn't accommodate large suitcases but this wasn't a major problem.

Very pretty, great location. Well appointed.

Lights in main bedroom didn’t work. Also, we particularly booked for twin beds, but it was a double bed which was a bit inconvenient.

Well located and full of character . Very well appointed in terms of what is needed for a visit. Immaculate through out.

Tight for space upstairs in the bedrooms.

The property is very sweet, with a gorgeous courtyard at the front. It was great for a couple of nights stay for three of us. The location in Moreton-on-Marsh couldn’t be better, with a direct train to London and plenty of cafes and restaurants just a couple of seconds walk away. The cottage was decorated very nicely and felt very in keeping with the Cotswolds setting.

We came for a wedding, and it was a little tricky getting ready (limited mirrors, no where really to hang anything to steam clothes and quite a lot of furniture in the rooms that made it feel less spacious/practical than it could be). It was also slightly odd to access (via a slightly spooky corridor from the high street that has windows looking directly into neighbouring cottages). I do think with a couple of tweaks it would’ve been perfect for our stay and we did have a perfectly good time!!
