Gibbet Windmill pet friendly home & paddock

This is an amazing property. We stayed in a windmill! What a dream. Four of us stayed for Christmas and we had a fantastic time. There were all the facilities you could ever need. I cooked Christmas Dinner. There is loads of oven space and a huge fridge freezer. It’s a short drive from Chester, shopping outlets and the zoo.

As expected, there are lot of stairs! The mill is on 4 floors. This didn’t worry us, including my 84 year old mum, but should be considered if you have mobility challenges.

Absolutely fabulous little find nestled away along a private drive . Our host Sarah was amazing very attentive and our welcome pack was loved by all.

Nothing it was amazing

A quirky, memorable stay with a lovely outlook. Plenty of parking and superb welcome pack. We have stayed in lots of holiday homes and think the provisions left were one of the best as quality provisions and cleaning items should you need them were left for our use.

If I was to be picky some coasters would have been useful.

The Gibbet windmill was a lovely place to stay. It has been beautifully converted into unique and quirky holiday accommodation over 4 levels. Loved the glass floor/ceiling between the lounge and kitchen which let extra light into the kitchen and the views from the lounge were beautiful. An amazing welcome pack on arrival and beautifully appointed living area and bedrooms with high quality bedding and towels. The host, Sarah, was easy to contact and replied to any queries or questions quickly. The property has gates controlled by security code for privacy. Short drive to the nearby village and Chester less than 5 miles away. We explored Liverpool, north Wales and Port Sunlight while we were there.

Very busy road runs past the property so didn't like to walk far on this but the road noise was unobtrusive making you feel private and the views made up for this.
