A peaceful family break.

The location was great as it was close to the centre of Chester, Blue Planet, Ice Cream Farm and Cheshire Oaks. The property is situated in an extremely quiet place.

The water pressure in the en-suite was poor therefore we could not use the en suite shower. The home was what we wanted yet it was dated in some ways. The blinds in the living area are old and dated; I would suggest replacing with a more safer option especially for children.

It was plenty big enough for four. 2 bathrooms is a bonus. Beds were very very comfortable. It was in a great location close to Chester and it was private.

The property wasn’t clean enough. The dining table and lounge table were full of smears. The mirrors in the lounge weren’t clean. The fridge hadn’t been wiped clean and there is just behind the bathroom doors, on the picture frames and on the radiator in the second bedroom. The white doors need a wipe down too. Faulty blinds too. All this being said we would stay again because overall it was enjoyable.

Very unwelcoming and sorry we booked this lodge

Lodge isn’t private directly next to a farm house. Grass on floor in lounge and TV not working. Owners loudly banging on the lounge window at 10:15pm. We assume because we had the TV on too loud. It was on 30 out of 60 volume. If owners thought it was too loud they could have knocked on the door and asked us to turn the TV down. We would have obliged. We felt very unwelcome from that moment on and left first thing the next morning. Stayed one of our booked two nights. Plus TV wasn’t working, tried mobile on booking website, no answer plus full voicemail. Tried two further numbers for agents, no answer from both. I eventually got the TV working. I have requested a refund and the agent has refused. Terribly sad that booking.com has this accommodation on their website. I would never stay there again and if anyone does you will not be able to have the TV on after 10pm (That’s if you manage to get the TV working) I will continue to request a refund. Hopefully they will realise it is wrong not to refund

Great stay in a beautiful location.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful and quiet. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the donkeys who roamed freely outside.
