Honestly not sure of why all the bad reviews. This place is simple but functional, and great value! The AC and wifi works, the bed is comfy, the team is lovely and cheerful, the courtyard is green and peaceful… what else can one need? (and our room was actually huge!)

The inner bathroom door (yes we also had one that goes to the courtyard which was pretty funny) and the shower itself was pretty tattered (also no hot water), but caused no real issue.

Loved the location - easy access to the main road and I loved all the shops and restaurants along the way to the beach. Also loved the communal vibes with the kitchen and eating / lounging areas. Loved the hammocks all over. I love that they compost and try to be eco friendly. The staff were nice but spoke zero English which made it very hard to connect about anything needed.

The staff knowing a little bit of English would help alot. The ants and other bugs in both the rooms I rented were a little too much for me. There were strange really loud noises at night like animals or trees were banging and crashing on the roof. I way overpaid for a room WITHOUT A/C (I think cause it was the large family room but I’m just a solo traveller) then I was able to move to the cheaper room with A/C that I had previously booked before and was comfortable in but didn’t receive any kind of partial refund, actually they tried to get me to pay more but I politely declined and fought not to have to do that. I paid alot for my overall 4 nights there but don’t believe I received equal value for it and it was more of a headache than anything. And I’m a backpacking budget traveller with pretty minimal needs. I wanted to love this place I really did but I’m not sure if I would stay there again.
