Kingston Guesthouse exceeded our expectations! It was so clean, peaceful, warm and beautifully decorated.
Some decaf tea and coffee options would have been lovely, e.g. herbal tea.

The building itself was lovely. The bathroom was also done very nicely. The location was reasonably close to the city centre but would require transport unless you are up for a long walk.
The bathroom was accessed across a communal corridor and required the key, which is not great for the middle of the night, especially as the door was loud when closing. The bed was small and hard. There was no hot water as the other guests had used it up, so we had to wait until just before check out for it to reheat. There were no instructions given as to where the bathroom was and the private sign on the bathroom door was confusing. Once we figured out that it was the bathroom we were meant to use as our key opened the door, we were not sure if we were sharing it with the other guests of not, so didn't want to leave our toiletries in there. The lady running the venue was hard to understand as she had a foreign accent. The room didn't look as nice as it did in the photo. It was also on the top floor with stairs that were very thin as they curved up, so people with mobility issues would have an issue.
