All the Staff were very welcome during a trying time for us and gave us extra accommodation and kindness throughout our 3-night stay at the hotel. We could not recommend them highly enough!

We wanted a couple of days away to have a walk up Ettrick Pen Hill and Moffat fitted the bill.
The hotel was ideally located in the centre of town and we got parked in the private car park.
The most impressive thing about the place is the friendliness of the staff. They treated you like an old friend, would do anything for you and were pleasant in every respect.
The food in the restaurant was lovely and the prices, including the bar, were very reasonable. The choice at breakfast was also excellent.
The room was large and was tastefully decorated - just like the website photos.
We are being picky here, but the window in the room was old and impossible to open and close. Being even pickier, the headboard for the bed was attached to the wall, not the bed, and the long mirror was in a dark corner.
