The breakfast offerings were good and reasonably priced. The bar is fantastic. The bar staff were all very friendly and could not do enough for us. Bar prices also very reasonable. The reception staff were also exceptional. We asked to move rooms after our first night because our initial room was above the Irish Bar which would not be an issue to younger guests but I wasn’t going out all night every night of my stay and they very quickly moved us with grace and no fuss, thank you!! Hotel Vago is in a great location. There were so many bars, restaurants and shops on our doorstep. We also loved having a DJ playing music in the afternoons. Paul is an exceptional DJ and we really enjoyed his sets. The pool area is beautiful and I witnessed the lifeguards being very attentive to the small people who were there which is a huge bonus if you have children. Very chilled vibe and very friendly.

Housekeeping could have been a little better for us. Because we didn’t get up very early I put the “do not disturb” card on our door until we were up and out. But that meant in our whole stay (6nights) our room wasn’t cleaned. It wasn’t a big problem as if there was an issue I would have rung reception. But given people staying there are coming back from events at 6am, it may be good to check rooms in the afternoons when guests have managed to get out and about! I appreciate it’s not ideal but we were not up when the staff were around at 10am in Vago 2, which is where we were. Our shower also flooded the bathroom a couple of times. It was not a big issue but the shower is more powerful than the shower tray can deal with. The kitchen facilities were great. We didn’t cook but the fridge was a great addition to the room.

No lift ,no extra in kitchen, nowhere to eat in room only a coffee table, above the toilet in the bathroom there was some kind of problem as flaky paint or plaster was coming down, told the cleaner who said would report it ,told the desk twice ,in 7 days it was never swept up or fixed ! It was still like that when I left this morning, and told them again.
