Hotel Westbahn

Very friendly and helpful staff, very convenient location (nearby train and subway, and some 30 min walking distance to the historical city centre), excellent breakfast and beautiful inner garden! I am definitely going to return.

Nothing really - The room is small but is comfortable and has everything one may need.

The location of this hotel is amazing!

The hotel is really old and has a lot of issues. I asked in advance if early check in/leaving our bags was possible and the answer I got from the hotel was “sure its possible”. When we arrived, they asked for 25e to check-in 2h early even tho our room was ready. I booked a “double bed room”, so I expected a queen or king bed, but we were welcomed with 2 single beds (both had wheels and were moving around just when laid on). When telling about this problem at the reception desk, it seemed like its something that happens regularly and they couldn’t provide us with a soultion for that night and told us to come again in the morning to get a different room. In the morning we were woken up but a cleaning lady entering our room saying we were checked out from the first room. We then had to wait for a new room, where we once again had two single beds, but this time without wheels so it was a bit less uncomfortable. Also, a week before arrival, I asked about AC and I was told all rooms had AC. We had AC in both of the rooms, but they are controlled by the hotel most of the time and can’t go below 24C. The bathrooms have very poor ventilation so rooms get smelly after showering. There was a hair above the sink when we arrived. Hairdryers barely work. Sinks are cracked. Paint from the bathroom door is peeling. Overall the condition of the hotel was not good at all and rooms are much smaller than they seem in pictures.
