We picked the LANG Hotel for our three night stay in Tokyo for its location and it did not disappoint. It is smack in the heart of Asakusa, which was one of our top destinations for Tokyo. Mornings are relatively quiet in Tokyo streets, but the fact that there is a Starbucks across the street (turn left and cross at the corner) which opens at 7 am was a big plus for an early riser like myself. Alchemist is also right around the corner (turn left and left again on Orange Street)! Turning right out of the hotel takes you immediately into all the little charming streets of Asakusa, which are chock full of regular shops, souvenir shops, restaurants, little bars, dessert places, and juice/fruit bars. Within a short, pleasant five minutes walk from the LANG Hotel, the cultural sites are right there. Kappabashi is just a ten minutes walk. Venturing out to other parts of Tokyo was super easy, since three train stations are within a five to seven minutes walk from the LANG Hotel. This meant that we had direct train lines to Ueno, Akihabara, Ginza, Tokyo Station, and Shibuya all within a short walk from our hotel. The LANG Hotel doesn't just get an A+ for its location, but the "room" we rented was literally a small apartment, perfect for our family of four. With two showers, two toilets, 3 large beds, 2 small beds, a little kitchenette, and a small living room, we had it all. Finally, our apartment sized unit was really modern with new appliances. So, I recommend spending about a half hour to learn how to use the toilets, the heating/air units, the microwave, and the washer/dryer combo.

We were confused about the luggage storage procedures, since we arrived before check-in and were picked up by our van after check-out. However, we eventually figured it out. I would have preferred an earlier check-in and a later check-out, but I understand these larger units require more time to clean for the next guests. And, our unit was indeed sparkling clean!

Our first stay so getting used to bunk style beds was an adjustment. However, plenty of room for a family and everyone had a bed to themselves. Kitchen facility was well equipped and clean. All staff were friendly and able to help with recommendations.

No dislikes. Exactly as described and central location. Within walking distance to metro, trains, Kuromon Market and Dotonburi. Quiet and convenient.
