Pink Door Villa Gili Air, private pool & kitchen

We spent 6 nights here and loved it. This villa is located in a central part of Gili Air. Close to the shops, restaurants and also close to the beaches. Everything is within walking distance. We rented bikes (there is enough room to stall them on the villa grounds) and that made it even easier. We loved the flowers and plants, the pool, the shaded sunbeds and sunny beanbags, the styling and colors, the washing machine and the huge! fridge and the nice beds. A special thank you goes out to Chiwon, the caretaker. He helped us with scooter & bike rental, a private excursion and was always so quick to respond or come over whenever needed. And above all: he was just super, super nice!

The villa is really nice, but in need of some minor adjustments or tlc. On some places it looked just a little worn down. A missing tile in the pool, chipped paint on the window frames, a sagging (and honestly quite uncomfortable) sofa with broken springs. We would've loved to have the possibility to open doors and windows for airing, but we missed screens for the windows (except the bathroom) or a mosquito net around the bed. So airing wasn't really an option (otherwise we would've had cats and tons of mosquitoes and bugs in the villa). And our children missed some space for their clothes/stuff in the downstairs bedroom. Also, the alley that leads to the villa is narrow and very dark at night. Every night the entrance to the alley on street-side was packed with garbagebags from one of the neighboring shops or restaurants. Like, blocked: we had to fysically climb over the garbage one evening. It also seemed to attract a lot of (huge) cockroaches in the alley and at the door. But this is not something the villa could really help in my opinion and I am not sure if this is always the case or just a temporary thing. All in all, it is a lovely place to stay, a little private oasis in the heart of Gili Air and I would still definitely recommend and/or book again!

Die Unterkunft ist in Summe schön eingerichtet und liegt schön zentral und nah am Hafen. Betten sind bequem und die Außendusche mit Master Bedroom ein Highlight. Patio ist schön und es ist alles da was man braucht.

Im Vergleich zu unseren anderen Unterkünften (von einfachen Villas bis 5 Sterne Hotels) auf unserer Indonesien Rundreise hat das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hier nicht gepasst. Das liegt zum Teil sicherlich an dem Preisniveau auf Gili Air, aber erklärt nicht alles. Das 2 Zimmer mit dem Stockbett und das zugehörige Bad sind sehr klein / haben nicht den Ausstattungsstandard des restlichen Hauses. Das Poolwasser war nicht klar sondern trüb / grün. Das blieb am Ende auch in den Schwimmsachen farblich bemerkbar und eine Stosschlorung hat wenig Abhilfe geschafft.

Een heerlijk huis met de liefste host die altijd voor ons klaar stond. Gelijk bij aankomst heeft hij fietsen geregeld, toen ik hulp nodig had voor dokter was hij goed bereikbaar, net als andere vragen. In een van de reviews las ik over de douche die niet ok zou zijn, maar die was en heet en had een goede waterdruk! We hebben het heerlijk gehad.

De villa was mooi ruim met alle voorzieningen. De tuin en het privé zwembad was prima

De villa zit midden in de bebouwing met een vies steegje als toegang. Het is erg achteraf en in een oude en verwaarloosde omgeving De villa is in groot contrast met de omgeving. De wc was beneden kapot dus elke keer naar boven naar de slaapverdieping met gedateerde badkamer. Geen warm water aanwezig. Kortom beneden het voorzieningen niveau van een villa.
