Jarapa Beach House - Beachfront Villa & Ocean Retreat Gili Air

Lovely Beach house very close to port. We stayed for a week in downstairs unit and it was great to have the swimming pool just outside our room and a view of the sea . Staff were happy , friendly and very responsive , attentive and always tried their best . Its important to know the entrance , reception , kitchenette where staff prepare brekkie and cocktails at happy hour is right next to the pool ( pool is available for all the units including Ratu village - the 4 units behind the beach house, )plus the storeroom is next to the bottom unit under the stairs to the seperate upstairs unit , so there is staff around and basically outside the downstairs bathroom , not that we were too disturbed by any of that .wifi was great. Not much storage space , a foldable luggage rack or 2 would be very handy . Breakfast was delicious And it was served on our veranda or on the beautiful deck overlooking the ocean and port , we loved that area for brekkie and for happy hour ( with music playing )water was plentiful . We had a couple of challenges but the attentive staff dealt with and resolved these really quickly . We really enjoyed the staff ( even with a bit of language barrier with the odd staff member , who didnt understand English) To end our lovely stay , we received a nice farewell souvenir upon checking out, a special touch , thank you Jarapa house 😁

Definitely a lovely property, with the terrace overlooking the sea being its main highlight. The staff in charge of the reception and housekeeping are incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help. The breakfast is very good, and the best part is that it is served on that wonderful terrace.

I feel that presenting it as a “luxury beachfront stay” doesn’t quite reflect the reality. It is certainly a lovely property, but I wouldn’t describe it as luxury.
