Old Theatre Suites - Maddalena

Wow what a location! Right in the heart of the city. Great little suite with everything you need. The rooftop pool is amazing with more space for beds than I expected. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable with good pillows. Lots of equipment in the kitchen. The air con took a while to get going but once it does it was comfortable for sleeping. Loads of toilet roll, kitchen roll, bin liners, soap, washing up liquid, clothes wash tab, coffee, tea, salt, pepper, etc. Really great to not have to buy all that on a short stay. If we come back to Valletta I would rebook.

The bathroom smelt of drains when we arrived but this soon cleared once water was flowing. Air fresheners were provided which also helped. Not a fan of the sensor lights in the bathroom, very bright in the middle of the night.

The a/c in the bedroom area was very ineffective. Would be nice to have coffee available in the apartment rather than 4 floors down.

Perfect location in Valetta, nice clean and spacious apartment.

We had an issue that the air conditioning wasn't working during our stay. We told the host but it couldn't be fixed due to it being a bank holiday weekend in Malta when we were there. It was extremely hot and difficult to sleep, but the host dealt with it via a compensation and in fairness it was not his fault that it couldn't be fixed quickly. So all in all, it's a perfect apartment and location to stay, I would recommend it, just hopefully they have fixed the air conditioning which I am sure they have now.

It is a quiet place, with modern finishes.
