The only positive part of this experience was the receptionist. After I explained the disaster I was facing with the apartment, she was incredibly professional and kind. She upgraded me to a hotel room at no extra cost, and honestly, that gesture saved my stay. Her service was outstanding, and I truly appreciated her help.

Let me be very clear: the apartment I was given was completely unacceptable. I arrived at 3 PM and found the door wide open with two cleaners still inside. One of them barely spoke a word of English or Maltese, so trying to communicate was a frustrating mess of hand gestures and broken words. Then they told me the apartment was downstairs. After a recent knee operation, I had to go down around 40 stairs just to reach the place. And then, to make things even worse, the bed was up another 30 stairs inside the apartment. Imagine trying to climb that at 1 AM. It was physically painful and completely unreasonable. And here’s the cherry on top: not a single window to the outside. Not in the bedroom, not in the kitchen. The only way to get some air was to leave the front door open. That’s not just uncomfortable—it’s unhealthy and unsafe. Now don’t tell me “you can see the photos on Booking.com.” Because the listing showed multiple photos of different bedrooms, and two days before arrival, they sent the address with zero information about what kind of apartment we were actually getting. That’s misleading and unacceptable. For the price I paid, this apartment was frankly unlivable. I honestly question how this property was even authorized by the Ministry of Tourism. It should not be listed in its current condition.
