Riad LOU, 5 bedrooms, private 12 p, pool, hammam

The Riad was beautiful with enough rooms for the group even though it could have been bigger. The staff Sufiyan, Abdul, Kamal and Amina were very friendly especially Sufiyan who was on hand if we needed anything and looked after us well.

Where shall I start, first on arrival we were told we could not use the kitchen as we specifically booked the riad so that we could cook ourselves and it stated the kitchen was available to use, otherwise we would have booked elsewhere. We were not happy with this as we did not budget for eating out for lunch and dinner, so we then had to fork out money to eat out and have the hassle of looking for somewhere to eat. Also we could not make tea/coffee or even get plates etc without asking member of staff which was uncomfortable and felt restricted. Also the bathrooms had curtains instead of doors which we thought was uncomfortable and lacked privacy. Maybe this needs to be looked into, at least have a door on the shower. The riad had cockroach problems they were everywhere, the rooms, bathrooms and lounge areas. My sister found a dead one on her bed on the first night and then another time ants were in the room because of a dead cockroach which was unpleasant and unhygienic, again this needs looking into. We did not realise that a member of staff would be staying with us 24/7 so the riad was really not to ourselves. The riad was in an alleyway and the driver had to drop us off and we had to make our own way to the place which was tricky at night time. Also the riad stated it had amenities which was not true for example it said there would be an iron, washing machine and microwave which were not there . We then had to buy an iron to use. Few problems with the shower as the water would not drain as fast.
