Dusty Miller Inn

The Calder valley is short of accommodation which could mean that available accommodation is sadly lacking but, not the Dusty Miller. Whilst it serves as a hostelry for locals it also offers first rate accommodation and service for visitors. Evening meals and a good selection of local traditional beers are available at reasonable prices.

There is nothing to dislike about the Dusty Miller.

Very clean and newly refurbished. Great spot and friendly staff. The room was very co for table and the cafe round the corner did a great breakfast.

It was quite noisy due to being on the main road and a bus stop being located outside

Clean warm and lots of t and coffee facilities. Fridge very useful.

As expected as on the main road get traffic noise but not too much and not a lot at night

The pub and the room looked stunning. Opulent even. A lovely high bed with comfortable covers, armchairs, and a fabulous big hot shower.

The bed was so hard, it was like sleeping on a concrete slab. It sloped to one side so that if I was close to the edge I rolled off. The curtains didn't close, so there was light from the pub sign on all night. It was incredibly noisy. I expected it until the pub shut, but the traffic all down the road all night prevented me from sleeping. It was almost as though a window was open. It wasn't, I checked! On top of that, they don't serve breakfast. For £126 for my one night stay, I expected better.
