Great location. Comfortable room with period features. Good food. Friendly staff. Close to train station and bus routes. Will definitely book again.
The only thing was no breakfast, but there was a great little cafe over the bridge.

The pub and the room looked stunning. Opulent even. A lovely high bed with comfortable covers, armchairs, and a fabulous big hot shower.
The bed was so hard, it was like sleeping on a concrete slab. It sloped to one side so that if I was close to the edge I rolled off. The curtains didn't close, so there was light from the pub sign on all night. It was incredibly noisy. I expected it until the pub shut, but the traffic all down the road all night prevented me from sleeping. It was almost as though a window was open. It wasn't, I checked! On top of that, they don't serve breakfast. For £126 for my one night stay, I expected better.
