I could live there for a year!

We had the most wonderful experience staying at this cottage!! It combines the coziest of old-time feels with great thoughtfully picked colourful decor. We were treated with all sorts of essentials like eggs and bread as well as a welcome basket of tears and drinks filled to the brim! Books, magazines and boardgames were also available and in great condition. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. We found it was situated perfectly for us to spend some time in the west lakes and the coast and it's only about a half hour from Keswick if you're looking to return to tried and tested places. To would definitely return!

A lovely place to stay

Clean cottage with lots of homely touches attention to detail was great, everything was thought of for our stay. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Location good to get to all areas of the Lakes.

Perfect stay / hassle free in a beautiful place

Host left a Christmas hamper. Bed was so comfy. Inside the property was beautiful with a mixture of old beams and modern furniture/ appliances. The Host (Julie) checked in via email throughout so see how we were and if we needed anything. Perfect location to a variety of stunning lake locations & walks.

The place was above our expectation and the host very kind and an amazing atitude towards guests.

The hospitality the host provided, had not a single issue with the cottage and amenities, and to the detail the host put to make every thing perfect, and she helped us with our every request, will defenitly book again.

Booking. Com give a misleading village location so we arrived at the wrong address! Kitchen lights need to be brighter to see Tv needs sound bar Bathroom mirror very high ( we are very short!)😁

Exceptional accommodation! Incredibly thoughtful,caring and helpful hosts highly recommend!

The property was spotlessly clean and so cosy 💕 The attention to detail was exceptional for example a stunning welcome basket and handwritten card as well as beautiful little travel sized Soaps,shampoos etc. There was also milk egg and bread left for us!! The property itself was beautifully laid out and looked stunning!

It felt like visiting my own cottage in the lake district. Loved it.

A very cosy home, with everything one could possibly need. Spotless and beautifully decorated. Host left incredibly thoughtful welcome baskets with butter, milk, eggs and bread in addition to local treats ( all delicious) we could not have been happier with the place. I personally liked the fact that it was a little outside of the major tourist areas. It felt like a refuge and was close enough to everything we wanted to see and do.

Comfortable and cosy.

The cottage is beautiful, cosy and comfortable. It has everything you need. The welcome package was just so kind and thoughtful along with the toiletries. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen has everything that you need. The location is great.

Neighbour across the street makes parking very difficult and neighbour was getting a new roof so lots of banging but both outwith control of owners.

It’s like a home away from home

The property is cosy and very comfortable. Comfy beds and lovely lounge to relax in. Our host thought of everything and the welcome hamper was appreciated.

Wonderful cottage, would definately stay again

Ideal location for visiting area in lake district. Lovely cottage, spotless. Plenty of crockery, utensils etc. to enable cooking meals. Quiet and safe area. Hamper on arrival was much appreciated.

It was awkward to park as the neighbour across the narrow road kept her car outside, directly opposite the cottage parking area.

Managed to walk CatBells and Orrest Head with dinner in Ambleside and Keswick, the weather was great

The location is very good for the price, not to far from Keswick and the Western Lakes. The hosts are excellent with their communication and their cottage is lovley.

The Cottage was beautiful and spotless. The little extras left for us like eggs, biscuits, milk and sparkling water was lovely. Julie was so helpful throughout our stay and was always there to help. 10/10

Lady across the Rd appeared to be parking opposite our drive making it awkward to get the car out. Silly really seeing she had a drive.

Lovely, cosy and peaceful cottage.

The property was absolutely lovely, it was decorated lovely, had everything you could possibly need and more. There were welcome packages that were very much appreciated and a lovely touch. Couldn’t fault this cottage and good communication throughout from the owner.

Fantastic hosts and property. Immaculate house. Massively exceeded expectations.

Hosts are absolutely superb. The house is beautiful and absolutely immaculate. Really well kitted out, especially for our dog who was travelling with us. Welcome basket on arrival was totally unexpected and like nothing I have ever received in any other property. Our host was very thoughtful and even left a small welcome gift for our toddler; checking in with us whether there was anything they could do to assist us and facilitated an early check in due to a heatwave. If you are contemplating visiting anywhere in this area I would definitely recommend checking out this property. 10/10 would stay again.

Gorgeous holiday home

The cottage was beautiful, well decorated, clean, cosy and had everything you needed. The host had left a welcome hamper with lots of goodies and also bread, milk etc to get us started on arrival.....such a very thoughtful and much appreciated gesture. We only stayed a couple of nights but will definitely book again if we are in the area. Thank you for a lovely break.

Exceptional hosts and cottage.

Julie and her family were beyond lovely hosts, the messaging and communication was exceptional! The cottage is a delightful little break close to Windermere and keswick and a variety of lakes locally. Dog friendly but no garden however there is a big enclosed field next door which is perfect so don't let that stop you from booking!

Top class property, very quaint and extremely welcoming

This property was one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed in, the wonderful welcome hampers, were an extremely, pleasant surprise, Julie, has thought of everything, there is absolutely nothing at all that I can fault with this property, I had planned on walking, but due to mobility issues, stayed in the cottage, and the weather was fantastic so I use the furniture outside, the beds were really comfortable, and even our dog was greeted with treats and food If I was coming to the lakes again I would not hesitate but to book this property They have put 100% effort into making people feel comfortable and welcome
