Clean and well presented.
We were a little cold. The radiator didn’t quite reach the seating area.

Lovely studio cottage, spotlessly clean warm and cosy, everything you need and more in the kitchen, the shower room is lovely,it is small but I had no problems getting into the shower and I am big ,our bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely too with a shabby Shic look.We would love to visit again and we highly recommended.Thank you .
Everything only wished our stay was longer, but we will return again .

It was a cute little apartment on a farm. Host was really friendly and the value for money was fabulous.
It did smell slightly and I’m 6ft 1 and struggled to turn in the shower!

Location was beautiful and the host so lovely she made sure we had the keys, knew there were take outs and the kitchen had great facilities like nespresso. It was quaint and quiet but full of charm. A converted barn it had all you needed for a longer stay and a patch of garden behind to sit in the summer sun. Lovely. Played dominoes which I'd not done for years. Had an oven and everything you need even a pizza wheel!
I didn't not like anything it's an fyi but just to point out I'm a size 10 and even I found the toilet area and the shower a squeeze I kept banging my elbows when I washed my hair, shower occasionally varies between melting hot and cold. The toilet it's self was behind the shower and my elbows touched the sides. So just to warn others a bit bigger. My partner who is bigger than me managed to have a shower but he got in and was in one position. Low entrance so mind your head when stepping in doors. With it being a barn there's a few cobwebs (just to warn spider haters) didn't bother me though!

Well stocked kitchen
Everything we needed after a days hiking
Towels were a bit old and thin

Creative use of a small space - we enjoyed the garden and the Netflix
A few details needed attention such as the entrance and outside space which needed some TLC to meet the ‘luxury’ status

The property was in a beautiful location, not too far away from the town centre, but far away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The host was warm and welcoming and provided us with everything we needed for our stay. We were also greeted by the cutest little farm dog!
The only thing I would bear in mind is the size of the shower. I found it the perfect size for myself but my 6’2 boyfriend found it a bit of a struggle! But other than that everything was perfect. Thankyou very much for such a lovely stay! :)

The overall farm environment feeling, the private garden and outdoor seating was convenient and adds to the joy of the stay.
The general decor was nicely presented
Location is only a 10 minute drive to central Cockermouth
The host was very friendly and welcoming
The mattress is past it's usable date, actually we woke each morning restless and with a sore back. It needs replacing immediately.
The host said they did not have fans, but they would not be necessary as you only have to open the lounge and kitchen windows to generate a cool breeze. I can't lie she was correct. However, this came at a price - bugs and mosquitos. Frankly I would have preferred the option of a fan.
Other reviewers had mentioned the mini sized shower and extremely low height of the entrance door. Not a disaster, but really they were below the tolerance for our comfort

Nothing
Smell of wet dog, itching all day & night. Lost wi fi day two. Bed horrendous very unpleasant. Shower far, far too small. Entrance hall filthy. Door to property half size. Overall not good.

Full apartment with everything you'd need
Slightly musty smell, toilet is very tight between the shower and the wall. The shower is tiny with barely enough room to turn around and I struggled to raise my arms. Velux skylight directly above the bed with no blind so as soon as it got light we struggled to sleep.

Beautifully area in good location accessible to good walks and cockermouth. Everything that was needed inside of property was available.
When we arrived my heart sank at the building that we were staying in as it was not at all inviting and in need of repair. Cracks to wall, front door not painted, not at all inviting. Inside had not been aired and had a wet dog smell. I opened the windows put on the heating and lit some insense burners and it dealt with the smell within a couple of days. We left a day early as the bed was directly under a sky light with no cover and so got no sleep which was exacerbated by an uncomfortable matress. The decoration was modern and nice but there were many touch ups required to broken handles and scraped walls. The outside area could have been lovely but instead the string night lights didn’t work, the fire pit had rusted and had a hole at the bottom and the flower pots were growing weeds. I know that we were out all day but our stay could have been much better. Loved hearing the horses in the morning and late afternoon.

Kitchen was fine. Host was very helpful and likeable.
The mattress was poor quality, so we didn't get a good rest. Took ages to fall asleep and we had a full day of work the next day to deal with. The shower was extremely small space, so we could hardly move inside and as a result we couldn't take a proper shower. That shower unit was a joke! The entry door was very low so one can hit their head if not being extra careful. The steps leading up the entrances were metal and not safe for older people due to being slippery in wet weather. We were very happy to leave this 'luxury studio crapartment ASAP!

Nothing ,filthy dirty should not have been advertised as a place for accommodation. Also it was advertised as luxury.
Everything was that bad my Wife and I could not stay there so we had to find alternative accommodation.

Rural, secluded. Quirky
Very cold. One little radiator in the room that couldn't keep up with the freezing temps outside

Beautifully decorated and designed apartment. Had everything we needed, and was spotlessly clean. Friendly welcome too. Just wish we had been staying longer than 1 night!

Nothing
Metal stairs outside to get in seemed dangerous when wet
The doorway is so low, you have to bend double to get in.!!
It smells, needs decorated and the shower which you touch the 3 sides on if you get in has mould on the grouting
It is all really cramped
The bed is in a corner meaning both can only get in one side AND there is a plastic sheet on the bed making you sweat in the night
There were no instructions at all about anything
Sadly, it was so bad we left three night early, not being able to stand it any longer and booked elsewhere.
Never done that in our lives before AND we have never done a bad review before !!!
The miniscule apartment is not on the front picture on Booking.com, it is round the back of the buildings no

The room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a lovely night's stay. Very cosy living space with comfy sofa. The kitchen and bathroom were all new and nicely kept. The host was really nice and friendly too. The place is set in lovely and peaceful countryside, yet very easy to get to from the main roads. It's also perfect for dogs, as our dog is reactive to sounds in hotels/b&b's etc but as the walls are so thick and it's so quiet, he slept through without barking.
The bed was a bit hard for me, so I didn't have the best night's sleep. The shower was tiny which didn't bother me but my husband struggled a bit.

The place was lovely great location nicely decorated
The bathroom was too dark for my wife to do her make up or hair... no plug sockets to allow her to dry her hair anywhere near a mirror.
Shower filled with water and overflowed. So small no one can turn around in it.
Bathroom nicely decorated but style over substance...needs redesigning

Nice bijou apartment ,quite comfortable, it has everything you need for an overnight stay ,
It's very quiet ,apart from the horses and the wood pigeons.
Nice area
It was sufficient for an overnight stay .
The shower is tiny ,probably a wet room would have made showering easier

secluded out of the way next to an equestrian centre, photos looked lovely on booking.com and it was just like the photos
no wifi, no satellite tv, couldn’t have a shower as really too small, unless very small, only mirrors in bathroom which meant couldn’t plug hairdryer in near a mirror- I should’ve taken an extension lead. No broom or vacuum cleaner to use either, which meant struggled to clean up ourselves, which we like to do.
So we took dogs, however the dogs from next door are allowed to roam in and around where we were staying, which caused for us an awful problem! One dog in particular wouldn’t leave us, was relentless at trying to be ‘too friendly’ to put it politely, with my girls. He was a permanent fixture that we couldn’t get rid of.
I tried to take them for a walk just outside the property, they were on a lead, a black dog and the over friendly one came rushing out, the black one was being quite nasty and attacking the girls. I was screaming and shouting for help to get them both away, and whilst being attacked by one, the other one wouldn’t stop trying to be over friendly!! I was terrified for their safety.
A woman did come out from the equestrian place, no apology- she just said , we’ve got dogs, what do you expect. !! I was out in the street! not on or near their property!!
Moral of this story is, don’t take dogs to this dog friendly cottage!

nothing really, modern decor, but thats it, NO Wi-Fi, basic Tv service, damp smell
false advertising, luxury it was not, dampness smell very present, the picture is of the main house and not the apartment, should be advertised as a studio from the start, no mention of the half door and stairs, dog poo in the garden, outside dining area was not good, garden not kept well, chairs sink in to stones enough to fall out of them. shower absolutely tiny. absolutely NO Wi-Fi, 5 tv service very basic . we paid for luxury and felt really let down. will not trust booking.com again for my weekends away

Beautiful views and good location. Well presented.
The entrance to the studio flat was ok if you're a hobbit. Kitchen small but functional. The bathroom is very nice but shower extremely small. Bed looked beautiful but needs a new mattress. It's definitely not a luxury apartment. A small cosy studio flat is more like.
