High dyke 1 - bed studio apartment nr Cockermouth

Had all the facilities you needed for a nice short stay, kitchen was well equipped and bed was comfy.I managed to lock myself out as it’s not a standard kind of front door but the host helped me out right away.

Shower small, as quite a stocky man over 6 foot I couldn’t move easily but managed to get a shower, not much that can be done though as it is a small apartment and you wouldn’t fit a bigger shower inside of it so it’s understandable but worth mentioning if your not a small human you might experience the same

Beautifully furnished and finished. Fantastic location. Lovely garden with seating and firepit. Very well equipped. It is self catering but they’d even left a small jug of fresh milk in the fridge for our morning coffee.

It was all perfect. The shower is quite small but that’s down to the layout of the property and wasn’t a problem.

Location, good value, rustic ambience Well equipped for short stay, easy parking, garden area in which to sit out and enjoy extra space.

As the weather was hot and on a farm environment their were a few insects that made their way into the appartment. A bit more space around the bed and be prepared for small shower cubicle.

Beautifully area in good location accessible to good walks and cockermouth. Everything that was needed inside of property was available.

When we arrived my heart sank at the building that we were staying in as it was not at all inviting and in need of repair. Cracks to wall, front door not painted, not at all inviting. Inside had not been aired and had a wet dog smell. I opened the windows put on the heating and lit some insense burners and it dealt with the smell within a couple of days. We left a day early as the bed was directly under a sky light with no cover and so got no sleep which was exacerbated by an uncomfortable matress. The decoration was modern and nice but there were many touch ups required to broken handles and scraped walls. The outside area could have been lovely but instead the string night lights didn’t work, the fire pit had rusted and had a hole at the bottom and the flower pots were growing weeds. I know that we were out all day but our stay could have been much better. Loved hearing the horses in the morning and late afternoon.
