Spacious townhouse with a beautiful, authentic interior and a small garden. Conveniently located near public transportation, with plenty of bakeries, restaurants, and grocery stores nearby. It was a great find, and I would definitely recommend it to friends—but please read the full review first.
The check-in experience was disappointing. Our train arrived at 8:40 pm, and we were instructed to make an effort to be "on time" and to be at the house between 9:00 and 9:45 p.m. because someone would be waiting for us with the keys.
Despite being there at 9 pm, we ended up waiting outside on the street at night for 35 minutes—with two 80-year-old seniors, a pregnant woman, and a small child—because the agent was very late.
The washing and drying machines were not working properly: the washing machine was not wringing out, and the dryer barely dries.
The house had not been perfectly cleaned before our arrival. There was dust on some surfaces, empty cosmetic and alcohol bottles left on the shelves, and various shoes and personal belongings of the host around—not as decor, but rather as clutter that could have been removed before guests arrived.
There is no air conditioning. It wasn’t an issue for us due to mild weather, but it could be a problem in hotter conditions.
All communication was in French. I don’t speak the language, which makes things a bit difficult—but I understand that might be typical in this region.
