The Nest Villa, Gili Air

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa. The secluded location was perfect, and having our own private swimming pool made it feel incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The beautiful garden, outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen were all fantastic touches that really made the villa special. We also really appreciated the water filter, which is a great way to reduce plastic waste. It’s clear that the owner has put a lot of thought and care into the property, from the beautiful decoration to all the little details that make the stay comfortable. Breakfast was delivered from a French bakery and was delicious — especially the lovely fresh croissants and fresh juice.

The only downside was the lack of a backup generator or solar power. During our stay, there was a major power outage caused by a problem at the Lombok facility. As the villa’s water pumps rely on electricity, this meant that basic facilities such as the shower and toilet were unfortunately not usable during the outage. We appreciate that major outages like this are very rare and, luckily, the issue was resolved by late afternoon. However, considering the price of the property, we feel that having some kind of backup power solution would be a worthwhile investment. The bed was also a bit small and hard for my taste. Overall, though, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this beautiful and thoughtfully designed villa.

Realmente fue una noche mágica en The Nest. Desde que llegamos sentimos que estabamos en un refugio, es como un oasis. La villa tiene una vibra especial, una atmósfera que te hace sentir bien al instante, rodeada de verde y naturaleza. La habitación es hermosa, y el baño un sueño, con la ducha al aire libre. Me encantó! La sala de estar y la cocina son muy cómodos, perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar de la vista a la piscina y el jardín que es hermoso. Estuvo bueno que hicieron la limpieza diaria y el mantenimiento del jardín, todo estaba impecable. Y el detalle del canasto de frutas exóticas cuando llegamos le dio el toque especial. El personal fue super atento y amable. El transporte a caballo desde el puerto está incluido si lo pedís, y también te dan dos bicicletas con candado para recorrer la isla. En resumen, The Nest Villa es un lugar donde te vas a sentir como en casa, pero con un toque de magia y lujo. Lo recomiendo al 100%!
