Japan House 御徒町

The property was very clean, modern and snug. As many users said the pictures are a bit deceiving, however, there was a balcony which I hadn’t anticipated. Communication with host was good, they give you a little digital booklet through a link where most of the things are explained. For your information, there is no iron but there is a steamer which works great. There is no dryer, but the bathroom has a dryer mode which dries your clothes pretty much just as fast. It also means you can do multiple washes in a row without having to use a combi dryer. The fridge is large and the property is next to multiple convenience stores. I’m a bit of a lazy person so I ubered most of my stay. I could see that going to the station may be a bit of a hassle for some people but I can’t attest to that. Other than that, super quiet and clean neighborhood. There is an anytime fitness pretty close as well with decent pricing. Recommend this if you are traveling alone.

Like some have stated, the beds are small and hard if you’re traveling with 2 people. Only 1 pillow per person if you’re with 2. Overall, my sleep was pretty bad there. Didn’t feel rested at all because I kept waking up multiple times per night which was a bit of a disappointment (no not jet lag because I was in Korea for 2 weeks before arriving there). In addition, like others have stated, there is nothing to keep the appartement floors clean. It’s a bit of shame to see filth accumulating on the floor and having to grab it with the hand. A simple broom would already work wonders and would also help the team that works hard to keep the place clean. I saw instructions on how to recycle but perhaps making them more simple/direct and placing them in each room (or the digital book) would help the team as well. I saw some really bad attempts at recycling with PED bottles with lids that weren’t crushed.

The unit is nice, comfy and clean. The location is great close to public tranportation and many food options nearby, including halal foods. Lawson is right in front of the building, while 7/11 just 2 minutes walks

The only thing the unit do not have is a vacum cleaner/broom to clean the unit ourself while staying there

Lawson across the street is nice for a little snack or drinks. It’s a 10/15 min walk to Akihabara which is very busy but the neighborhood of this apartment is very nice and calm. Metro is a 10-15 min walk as well which is great during your stay but can be a little hassle with your suitcases

It is quiet small but for Tokyo it’s big.

Modern apartment with good communication via email. Self check in was flawless.

Some of the photos shown was not actually of the apartment we booked. I don’t want to appear negative but for a 6 night stay it would have been nice to have an actual dining table rather than a narrow bar and it would have been nice to have had somewhere to sit and relax rather than on the bed or on the 2 bar stools. There was no desk as shown in the photos and no iron as indicated. (We had to purchase an iron as we had a wedding to attend.) Im sure the larger apartments would have be more suitable but obviously more expensive. An enjoyable stay despite these issues as stated.
