Cuckoo Lodge - Arscott Lodges

Gorgeous lodge on the edge of the golf course, views of the 15th tee whilst sitting in the hot tub 👌 great facilities, everything you need, the beds are really comfy, good sized rooms and bathroom with lots of storage, really peaceful surroundings with wildlife and gorgeous views. The hosts are brilliant, they cater for your every need to make your stay great 👍 we stayed for the week during the August heatwave when the heat inside was unbearable and when I asked we were given an extra fan for our room. The golfclub on site is a lovely place for a quiet drink in the evening, lovely views from the veranda and the staff are really friendly, they also serve bar snacks and light meals some days. We visited some lovely places while we were there, Attingham Park, the Ironworks (which are a must, especially for kids, sounds boring when you say Ironworks but OMG it was amazing) loads of lovely walks nearby and a 10min drive to Shrewsbury Town Centre which was lovely, we ate at the Peacock Inn on the way to Shrewsbury which was a great find, they had different food offers on each day of the week and the food was lovely. We drove round to a little village called Minsterley each day for snack supplies for our movie nights and the local shop was really good and really cheap too. There are a few places to eat there too, a Chinese Restaurant and a Fish & Chip shop which was always busy. All in all we had a lovely week here and will definitely be back 😊

Perfect little staycation for family and our dog. Location was great, close to Shrewsbury and a perfect base for venturing across into Wales. Hot tub was just what we needed after each busy day

Could do with a bit of updating and a sweep outside but it was great for what it was

Views over the golf course were lovely. Listening to the birdsong

Couldn’t sleep in the double bed as it sunk in the middle. Outdoor chair ripped. Decking needed painting. Cutting trees using a chainsaw at 06:20
