The main sandy beach of Villajoyosa is less than 200 metres away, with the marina just in front, and along the beach there are a number of great restaurants to choose from. It is just a short stroll of about 20 minutes into the centre of town, and if you wish to explore all along the coast then the TRAM stop (narrow-gauge railway) is less than 400 metres away.

The apartment is situated in a tranquil residential area (relaxed sleeping, even in the middle of summer!) with all the amenities including supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, takeaways and many shops within easy walking distance. And it would seem that this has been a desirable location for many years as they are currently excavating a Roman villa just besides the property!

Villajoyosa is a typically Spanish small coastal town with an interesting historic centre. The Thursday morning outdoor market is well known along the coast and here you will find some incredible bargains to take home. The other speciality is the chocolate factory 'Valor' - perhaps the most famous in Spain - where you can have a tour of the premises and then purchase a box of their finest, which probably won't last that long!

Villajoyosa is well-connected to the rest of the province via the excellent motorway and the main roads that can whisk you up and down the coast or inland to the mountains for a very different experience. And if you don't want to use the car, the bus stop is less than 100 metres away and the versatile and cheap TRAM just a short walk.
