The location was great and right in the main area. The size was great and did allow us to spread out, some maintenance issues but overall we were happy with the location and size of apartment.
The host would only communicate with messages in French, felt they could have a standard welcome in English. Even when we sent a message in English they would respond in French which meant we had to translate. They said they would be meeting us but in the end just sent us the code, no big deal but why say they would and then not. Also the check in time of 5PM is extremely late and never had one with this time, meant we had to delay our arrival. The apartment itself feels like it needs a thorough clean and can easily see it is used to generate income, just not the best experience compared to others we have stayed at. The common area of stairs is just filthy and needs a really good scrub. I'm sorry to write this but it does need improving.

Localisation idéale de l’appartement dans une rue bien animée et proche de toutes commodites (Petit Casino, boutiques, restos, plage, Parking Wilson, Citadelle etc).
Propriétaire très réactif et agréable qui a gentiment accepté un Check-out un peu plus tard
Ne pas aimer est un bien grand mot.
Mais le service de conciergerie pourrait s’améliorer: fond de la poubelle humide de café (sûrement échappé de capsules des locataires précédents) à notre arrivée, paire de chaussettes oubliée sur le canapé, un mitigeur défaillant (heureusement il ya 2 SDB) et une évacuation d’eau difficile dans cette même SDB.
Mais ce sont des points de détail…

The location of this apartment is in the center of Villefranche-sur-Mer which was fantastic. After sending a deposit, I received videos that showed how to access the apartment along with instructions for the key lock box. That made it very easy to find the right apartment when we arrived. The apartment had great AC and a couple of beds and bathrooms. We were only there a few nights, but it was a great place to stay.
Just be aware that the apartment is up a few flights of stairs which is in a hallway that is used by several other apartments and not very clean. It was no problem for us, but something to note if you have a lot of heavy luggage.
