It’s in a lovely old part of the town

There was a lot of family stuff around, the stairs to the loft are a bit tricky, especially if you need the toilet in the middle of the night; the stove did not always work (despite being given written instructions on how it should work) and therefore was unable to boil the kettle; and the microwave had an English plug (the adaptor had apparently been taken by a previous guest) so was not usable.

Many steps, dangerous steps to bed. Tv didn’t work.

Modern, clean, spacious and well equipped.

The location of the apartment was decent and it was one of the more affordable options around.

The airconditioning DID NOT work at all. And in the height of summer heat, the apartment was absolutely stifling hot. It was a pity because we could have really done with some downtime during the day but it was impossibly hot. At night, it was hard to sleep. The loft area was unusable due to the heat. I can imagine this place could be cosy in winter but I would think carefully before booking this place in summer. On top of all that we had to take the garbage out and not just outside but to some very particular places in the village. Not convenient at all.

incredible location, right in the heart of the village. very French. beds were super comfy. a minute away from the bakery and supermarket.

3 of us were sharing and just wished there had been a proper door rather than a curtain separating the toilet, but other than that was a fabulous stay.

Location of the apartment was great in old town Villefranche. Great communication from the host prior to our stay. Easy to find from the rail station with step by step instructions. Accommodation was well equipped with everything you needed. Would return again 🙂

the style is very nice, the floor is beautiful wood work. as well as the 2nd floor - very cosy - maybe wenn the weather is not burning hot - we had felt no air up there end of July/beginning of August. the kitchen is great and well equipped, the shower is fantastic. very friendly receptionist Danielle - she assisted us with everything we needed - thank you very much, again.

the air conditioning was too insufficient. we felt nearly cooked in the first three days. the doorways and ceiling are probably for very small people less than 1,60 - we constantly hit our heads and shoulders - frustrating. there is no freezer.

Excellent location, in the middle of the old town and a short walk from the train station. Well-equipped kitchen. Good price for the location. Easy check in.

Several issues: -This place is not accessible-friendly. My wife was recovering from a bike accident and had a very difficult time navigating the stairs both into the building (which are uneven, lack a handrail and a light) and the stairs into the apartment itself. The stairs to the bed on the second floor also lack a handrail, so she had to sleep in the single bed on the first floor or risk falling down the stairs on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. -The air conditioner is falling apart, literally. It is a portable unit with its exhaust pipe mounted to one of the windows. However, this appears have been falling apart for a while and has several gaping holes that have been jerry rigged together with a combination of masking tape and garbage bags. Needless to say, it does not work very well. This, combined with poor ventilation (multiple walls have been added to the studio apartment, severely restricting airflow) make it very difficult to cool the apartment--we had to keep the AC running at full most of the time we were there just to be able to sleep, and this is without cooking. I'd hate to imagine what would happen if you turned on the stove or the oven. -Dust. The apartment was relatively clean, but there were some massive dust issues. For example, the fan upstairs hadn't been cleaned in ages, and even after wiping it down with a cloth, it gave me a massive sinus headache that woke me up at 6am (I'd been working all the day before, so no, it wasn't the beach or a hangover). In general, the apartment smells musty and there is some black mold in the shower (although not an excessive amount). -The rules. We're not a rowdy group by any means. My wife just went to the beach for a few hours and I had to work.
