Fabulous little house in a quiet location only 10 minutes drive from Donegal town.

Exceptional little house, very cozy with a beautiful outdoor terrace. 10 minute drive from Donegal town but very quiet & peaceful location surrounded by woodland and a lovely little pub 5 minutes walk. Collette is a fabulous host, even had little birthday lights for my partner on arrival. We will definitely return.

Absolutely amazing! I would surely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place in Donegal.

Beautiful and Clean property. Everything was perfect. The host is very kind and helpful. There was a fully operational kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a living area. Host had provided all utensils and cutlery along with basic things like coffee, tea, sugar etc. Bathroom had soap, shampoo and other essential items. Had a great time.

A little piece of paradise

What can I say, when I was looking for accomodation in Donegal I never thought I'd find a place like The Blue House. Everything about this place is wonderful, from the ease of checking in and out, to the cleanliness and facilities. Where it is situated is the perfect place for a get away from everyday life which is exactly what we were after. A local pub just a couple of minutes walk away was fantastic and the staff so friendly and Donegal centre just 10mins drive, what more could a person ask for. We will definitely be returning The Blue House.

Lovely place to stay

Loved the decor & location and the fact we could sit on the covered balcony even in the rain. Lots of bird life to watch. Very tranquil. A perfect spot for getting away from it all. Well equipped.

Some of the crockery & glassware was dirty when we arrived so we had to wash up before using. Also it was very cold even when the heating was on.

Lovely experience!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue House! Everything was super clean and well prepared. We especially appreciated the thoughtful little touches like having spices, oil, sugar, napkins, and other essentials — perfect for short stays without needing to buy everything. The house was also really cozy and the check-in was smooth and easy to find.

If we had to mention one small downside, it’s that the cabin can be a bit noisy — floors creak and the heating system makes noticeable sounds, which could be a little disturbing if you’re a light sleeper or staying with several people. But overall, we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it!

Absolutely fabulous and spotless place to stay.

From check in to check out our experience was second to none.. every room in the cabin was spotless . It has everything you could possibly need . It’s so beautiful and so peaceful . Really looking forward to returning here and would highly recommend as somewhere to stay
