Exceeded Our Expectations – A Spacious and Comfortable Stay

We stayed at this property for one night with friends, and it exceeded our expectations. The place was excellent and much more spacious than we expected. It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained with very good facilities, making our stay relaxing and enjoyable. It also offers great value for money. The staff were friendly and very responsive, always available on call whenever we needed assistance. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with friends or family.

very rude owner because of snow conditions was suggesting us to park on a 100km/h national road and not taking responsibility of any damage on road on car which is not legal and also guest didn’t prepare driveway with salt and grit and no previous instructions about parking

Beautiful home with everything that you need for a fantastic stay. We were given excellent instructions to access the house and even suggestions for a taxi into town which was a very short trip. Great value for money too.

Nice house. Plenty of space. Decent location, but could not walk to most things due to major road with no sidewalks.

Not enough hot water. We had six people and only two had sufficient hot water for showers even though the two that did, took fairly quick showers. No coffee maker available. No paper goods like paper towels available.

We were only there one, very rainy night so we probably didnt get to appreciate it fully.

The home was very comfortable and accommodated the 6 of us comfortably. It is a quaint home in a beautiful setting. There was an issue with the water in the kitchen, however Patricia had already arranged for the problem to fixed. She is a very responsive and helpful host.

It would have been nice if there were additional/different bed pillows.

Could not get in initially as text from owner with entry code was not received and could not connect to listed phone number for owner. Once we located her next door, she was very helpful. Booking.com website was NOT helpful in getting us in touch with owner.

The location was 5 minutes from central Donegal. So east to get there but nice to have free parking and a lovely quiet spot. Beautiful home, comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms, kitchen utensils and cookware. Marvelous spot for lots of people!!

The house was private,open and spacious. Everything we needed or wanted for the weekend was there for us. The location was excellent,only 5km from the town. Great location and very spacious property.

The house was very spacious and in a great location, a short easy 5 min drive from Donegal town. The beds were very comfortable. The decor was traditional and the shower was lovely and warm. There were plenty of towels and shampoo/ conditioner available. Great communication from the host. 2 mins from a large shopping store which opens until 10pm.

It was a little bit cold, but that's to be expected with such a large property. When we turned the heating on, it warmed up. The only thing I didn't really like was that there was a cinnamon air freshener in the hallway, which was a strange smell when you walk in.

We wish we stayed more than 1 night here. The Gables was beautiful and very relaxing. Very nicely located close to town but not in town which we loved.

Could be much better - definitely not worth the current rating

The property was clean and spacious and check in was easy.

The mattresses in all four bedrooms were extremely uncomfortable with springs coming through. A good nights sleep is the most important thing and this was a complete fail. None of our party were able to have a good nights sleep. There was a shortage of pillows which made it even more uncomfortable experience. one very flat pillow per person - also a failure. Three towels to shower with is poor when there are 4 double bedrooms and 8 people staying. The person showering last has absolutely no chance of having a dry towel. Another failure. Every bedroom has animal floor coverings. The owner needs to be more aware that many people will hate this. No mirrors in any bedroom and lack of bedroom furniture are smaller issues.

Spacious well located property.

The Gables is a lovely spacious 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house, set in lovely elevated gardens. This house is just so well located! Close to castles, beaches, Donegal town Bundoran etc. It's a really good base for exploring the area and you'll find everything you might need in this well-equipped property. Booking and check in were easy thanks to Patricia's regular communications. Definitely recommend a visit.

I stayed at the gables with family for a family wedding in lough erske castle which was situated 6 miles away .The house was so spacious,clean and comfortable for us all was very to handy to the town aswell.The host was very good on keeping us informed of everything throughout our staying I'm booking again for next year .
