Great house with lovely views

Spacious house near Donegal Town. It was great for our group of 5 people. Big kitchen, comfy beds and 3 toilets with showers. Although only 10 mins from Donegal Town it is quite remote, so you definitely need a car. The views are stunning and we loved that it was remote.

The decor is dated but we didn’t mind as clean and comfortable. If I was being picky I’d say the living room fits 6 comfortably, it was fine for us but would be a tight squeeze if 8 people were there.

Looked lovely from outside.

Dirty, brown water in shower, sheets seemed unwashed, lots of rubbish in presses. Felt manky and unwashed .

Relaxing, enjoyable stay.

The space for four adults and four children was great. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels etc. I have limited mobility and just used the ground floor with was great, with the bedroom and shower room all on the ground floor. The owner, Eileen, couldn’t not have been more helpful, and was very quick to respond to any questions.

Not bad for the price, but not without its quirks

Big, well equipped kitchen. Cozy living-room.

Small double beds (135cm I guess), small-ish bedrooms. Convoluted heating control, we had to keep turning it on as every now and then it would turn itself off. So when you feeled the chill during the night, you had to go out of bed, walk downstairs, turn heating on again, and endure the cold until the house started warming up again. Internet was patchy.

Lovely family Christmas at pine view.

Plenty space and parking. Lots of help with baby eg travel cot/ baby gates/ high chair. Dog friendly.

Took a while to heat and was hard to control the heat. WiFi wasn’t great, although Eileen was responsive when trying to sort it. Bathrooms could do with a reseal. A mat at the doors would help too - wet weather made the flooring slippy.

The house was nice and spacious. The view was fabulous. Our host was so friendly and welcoming. She did not mind me calling her to ask about the WiFi.

We had a lovely time. Nice and quiet area. It may be a bit of the beaten track for some but not for us! Ideal for walking or a run.
