Handy place to stay for exploring Donegal.

There is a good amount of space in the house and nice views. The location is good for exploring Lough Eske, the Blue Stacks way and other parts of Donegal. Paul, the owner /manager is very helpful and kind and came out to the house with a potato peeler and oven dishes when asked.

The soundproofing in the house is missing. Everyone hears everything from everywhere - between floors as well as walls. The small double is next to both bathrooms. It’s a shame as otherwise the house is a good size with two sitting rooms and a light, bright kitchen diner as well as four bedrooms- three doubles with double beds and one triple. The kitchen equipment was missing some basic things eg a standard potato peeler and larger oven dishes. The oven door did not close so cooking was uneven. Not a place to roast a turkey at Christmas. There were quite a few spiders and dead flies around the windows. In the main bathroom the hot water was not well regulated as at the start it was scalding hot. The en suite uses the immersion. There’s no timer, so you need to turn it on in advance each time you want a shower. The central heating also has no timer which could be annoying in the winter.

House was great, plenty of room for our group of 6. Clean and well equipped. Nice setting with a view of the lake. Host Paul was great.

Location was a bit far from town. Mattress in master bedroom was not comfortable.

This was a lovely home from home for our family, there were toys and board games to suit different ages, my kids took a football and spent most of their time playing football in the large gardens. The views were beautiful, it approx a 15 minute drive to Donegal town.

The house was warm, plenty of space outside and inside for 2 families. The kitchen was fully equipped and the house was super clean, the beds were super comfy. . Games for kids and dvds. Paul the host is the nicest, he did everything for let us feel like home. We loved every minute of it

Superb

A spacious, comfortable house with a lovely big kitchen / diner overlooking a large garden - great for games - and Lough Eske. Good walks close by, both beside the lough and up into the hills where there are views into Donegal Bay. It is close to Lough Eske Castle Hotel where we were attending a wedding, and about 10 minutes drive from Donegal town. Our host, Paul, met us on arrival and was kind, considerate and helpful both before and during our stay. He laid in milk and butter plus a few other essentials ahead of our arrival.

Nothing significant. An additional frying pan and some large bowls would have been useful for a large family - discussed with Paul.

We have a lovely time in Lough View House! Our stay there is really memorable.

The view from the property is excellent, overlooking the lake. It is far from other properties (neighbors) that we don't have to worry about the amount of noise we are making! We have loud music and loud kids (lol). There is a lot of space around the property. The garden is really spacious where kids can play and also adults. It is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and colleague.

The beds are bit small for 2 people. The couches are a bit old. A lot of small flies (ticks?) flying around especially at night. The lights in the kitchen are a bit dim. But we had a great time!

Simply amazing!

Wonderful location beside the lake. Silence, calm and nature, close to the best spots of Donegal. The house itself is fantastic, big kitchen, large sitting areas, and both bathrooms and bedrooms were in excellent conditions. We can't say anything negative really. 100% recommended!
