3 Bed 2 Bathroom Super Lodge! Sea Views!

Location

Very unclean - very strong smell of urine and faeces in one bedroom particularly. Broken bed slats and heating point hanging off wall with electrics visible. Mattresses visibly dirty and unclean. Cupboards hanging off of the hinges, tape on the floor, door handles hanging off and jams shut. Every surface was dirty on arrival, floors not hoovered, one shower scalding hot and the other is cold. Really just not very well presented at all.

Privately owned lodge could not contact owners. Dirty place, dirty bed linen left in all 3 bedrooms. Hob disgusting thick with grease, cigarette butts left in barbeque. Did not like anything at all.

Everything place awful owners will not speak to us to hear out complain ts. Never will we book with booking.com again as they are Polite but useless paid £780 for 4 nights in an awful place.. offered us £38 which is disgusting too. All said terrible terrible week.

The location and views were good

No contact from property with details to check in. We had to ask the haven staff to contact the owner to gain access to our stay. After two hours trying to gain access we finally got a code for a keysafe. No numbers work for the owners and they state they don’t have access to there booking app and was unaware of our stay. Although the booking was confirmed and money taken. We booked for 2 nights on the second evening we returned to the property after a day out to be greeted by new tenants to the property. The owners had double booked, we had to tell the other party we had paid for two nights and are staying two nights. Basically requesting they leave the property as the owner went silent on them once they realise there mistake. We were left to deal with the disgruntled other guests. The “cleaner” kept turning up at the property and had to be sent away multiple times, it was like attending a cheap circus. I have photo evidence of all issues and defects. The property was dirty and damaged inside. There were cannabis “stalks” on the book shelf. Dishwasher had a full load inside, most of the furniture was falling apart and sun damaged. There were live electric wires duct tape up in the living room. The shower in main bathroom would not get hot. The ensuit shower falls off the wall when you touch it. The decking is dangerously unsafe about to fall off a cliff. There are portable heaters supplied with the property which state they are electrically safe but have burn marks on the plugs. Could be a lovely place but the cleaning and management are absolutely terrible. My children were scared in the end anticipating another knock at the door. Days after we have still had no contact from the owners with any sort of apology. Avoid this lodge plenty of better ones on the park !!

Beautiful location.

Having to sort out bedding was an absolute nightmare. We were not coming from home so couldn’t bring our own. It’s an added cost that isn’t mentioned before booking you also need a £10 cash deposit. Having to make up our own beds to then strip them the following day was just a huge inconvenience. Also no toilet paper available, no tea bags, coffee, milk. The outdoor seating area is in much need of some tlc. Very uninviting with broken furniture. We also had no hot water so none of us could shower. Wasn’t until we were leaving we discovered that the boiler needed turning on. Also dirty wet towels were left on bathroom floor.
