Ashcroft House by The Beach

Location was good. Parking is free on local / beach roads. House was in very good condition. Open plan kitchen/garden was perfect for young children. It was all very safe for them to move around and play. Hosts were very responsive whenever we had a question. We had a lovely week and would recommend.

There is no shade on the bifold doors at the back so when sun is full on it gets pretty hot. The weather was mild and cloudy most of our week fortunately :)

The location was great. The beach at one end of the road and shops at the other end. A beautiful spacious house. Very well equipped kitchen and family games and books in the cupboards. Outdoor games in the garden box and an electric barbecue. The large open plan kitchen/dining/living room with fold back doors onto the garden was perfect for our social family gathering.

Nothing, all was fab.

The house was very well set up with very good range of kitchen equipment, plenty of everything for 7 adults and 2 little ones. Thoughtful touches like plastic crockery and cutlery for little ones. Excellent utility room . Bedrooms all very good sizes. Family room/ kitchen very practical and lots of seating. Sitting room very pleasant. We had good weather and were lucky enough to be able to eat outside, good space. Small cupboard under the stairs was an added bonus and gave our little ones their own Harry Potter space.😂 Location a short walk from beach but free parking at beach meant it was very easy to take down everything needed for day on beach.

Whilst perhaps understandable if guests have abused house/ facilities the strict rules and tone of instructions didn’t seem friendly. Would have been nice to have been able to leave the dishwasher running with our breakfast dishes on last morning rather than having to wash up whilst organising packing.
