When we walked into the house the first impression was that it was stylish and elegant. The kitchen and living areas were spacious with lots pf natural light from the large windows The house was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen well equipped. The outside furniture was of good quality and perfect for al fresco dining. The house was located in a very quiet street and fairly close to the centre of Honfleur . On the whole we were really impressed by what we saw.

A few things let a house of this quality down The beds were far too small to accommodate 4 adults. The bed in the second bedroom was exceptionally small The property has no air conditioning which made sleeping quite uncomfortable The windows should been equipped with insect nets . The sofa in the lounge was not big enough for four adults to sit comfortably The second bathroom was not ensuite , so not really suitable for 2 couples. Maybe worthwhile to point out that whilst we were eating one evening - one of the chair legs from the dining snapped in half. No- one was hurt. Unfortunately we did not report the incident immediately as we did not feel serious enough to disturb the owners. However the owners are now trying to invoice us directly for a replacement chair rather than going through booking. com. We don’t feel in these circumstances that we should pay for a replacement as the chair was not mistreated in any way and broke during normal use. We are not really happy how the incident is being handled- not very professional or customer friendly.
