Overall an enjoyable stay but beware of additional costs!
Good location. Clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Nice view of Honfleur and the sea.
The details of the accommodation on booking.com didn't mention that bed linen and towels are NOT included in the price. Only after reserving and making the non-refundable payment for the accommodation were we advised that bed linen and towels are not provided but can be ordered at an additional 20 euros per bed and 6 euros per towel. This is misleading and not acceptable. The details should be clear prior to committing. Be aware that there are 3 flights of steps with about 16 steps each to climb to reach the apartment. There is no lift. This is a challenge for anyone with mobility problems. The narrow streets in the vicinity of the accommodation could be a challenge if arriving by car.

Never again!!. The host isn’t a good hostess!
The flat itself was ok for a one night stay but because of the host it put a dampener on the visit. It was decorated nice, it had a nice view and was clean. Unfortunately getting into the bathroom was a tight squeeze and there’s not much room in there but it worked. It would’ve been nice to have the WiFi code noted and information on the property ie if you needed extra bedding, local amenities and leaving the fridge door open when leaving!.
The host was unhelpful and threatening. I asked in advance for a fan as I knew the weather was going to be hot but apparently your not allowed then in the appartement which I found odd. Finding the right building for the address given. It takes you to number 12 which is a block of flats, the host wasn’t very helpful and kept saying number 12 its number 12, it has a blue door!. This isn’t helpful when you’re at number 12 and can’t see a blue door. It works out to be another building before you get to number 12. I had to contact the host via WhatsApp to get to the right building. After climbing 3 floors we didn’t even have the pin to get into the property. The front door was open to the building but we had to go back down 3 floors just incase we’d gone into the wrong address. At this point we was going to drive the 5.5 hours down to our house but got a message with details. Once we got into the flat we wanted to put our water in the fridge but it wasn’t on and smelt disgusting!. Apparently it was the previous guests fault for not leaving the door open!. This was the time I thought that the host wasn’t going to be nice. The batteries on the remote were corrosive and the back was missing so I sent a picture as I didn’t want to be blamed. We were told we had to pay €40 for bedding , it was so hot that we didn’t use the main bed we used one fitted sheet on the sofa bed, we bought our pillows as I don’t like using used pillows and slept with windows open as it was so hot. My son slept on the sofa. I didn’t agree with the €40 as we only used one sheet. The host has since threatened me and continues to message me via WhatsApp. This host has lots of properties so isn’t the wholesome business owner. We were given no WiFi code, we used nothing but the shower and toilet. We bought our own sheets and pillows and got there later than 7pm because our ferry was late which is also being thrown at us. Apparently we arrived outside the allotted time!.

Driving description to parking place. Our vehicle was a 7 seater van which could not navigate the very small roads. Better navigation instructions would be advisable

Great property but take into account the cleaning fee.
Great location - a few minutes' walk to the centre of Honfleur. The property was clean and tastefully decorated.
Not the fault of the property, but the cleaning charge was not made clear by Booking.com until after we booked, by which time it was too late to cancel, though we did try. This meant that in order to avoid the charge, we used as few facilities as possible and spent time ensuring that the property was spotless before leaving. Ultimately this led to rather an unrelaxing stay. It was only afterwards that we cross-referenced reviews on Google which mentioned this issue.

Be aware of extra costs
Location and the apartment. The apartment is cosy and has all facilities needed, pretty central. Check in was easy and there was the possibility to park in front of the apartment.
There were a lot of (optional) extra costs involved. Some turned out to be in small print on the booking.com page, which we didn’t see; Bedding, towels and a deposit of a couple of hundred euros. Not the owner’s fault, just not a great website for small print and extra costs I guess. Cleaning costs were however not mentioned before booking. The price would more than double when including towels, bedsheets and the optional cleaning fee. We wouldn’t have booked it if we had known that. Also, for the price of the bedding we had to put and take off the sheets ourselves. We weren’t used to all this from booking.com. Other websites like Airbnb do this sometimes, but then it’s clearly mentioned when booking it, that’s completely fine. We contacted booking.com about it and they offered a suitable solution to us, but this took some time. We paid everything already except the cleaning fee, we told the owner that it would be paid that day, but that we were discussing with booking how it would be paid. In the meanwhile the owner threatened to not give back the deposit, also said to booking.com that we refused to pay. She also took dramatic looking pictures of the apartment as if we left a complete mess: we left it all in a clean way, just didn’t make the bed and a wooden plank and glass were still drying after we had washed it. After all it got solved and we also ended it in quite good terms with the owner. But we would like to make people aware of extra costs. We would have rated it better if we wouldn’t have had these problems, cause the apartment itself was nice. So if you don’t mind these things, go ahead and book it.
