Bluebell

We stayed at Thorness bay as a base for the IOW festival - the location was fairly convenient, about a 20-30 min mute drive from the festival car parks. The van was located on a nice spot in the park, less than 5 minute walk from the sea. The self check-in process was easy and the staff were responsive to a query I sent. The van itself was a good size with a nice spacious living area. We had everything we needed for our short stay and it was a nice touch that they provided towels, washing up stuff, toilet rolls and bin liners. The beds were also made up on arrival.

There is no wifi provided with the van and we couldn’t pick up the Park Dean wifi either. Just a few small things… the bulbs in the lights were crazy bright in the bedrooms and there were no lamps for softer lighting at night. Also, the blinds were really ineffective at blocking out light, so as soon as the sun was up it flooded the bedrooms, so could do with some blackouts or darker curtains aswell. The bed linen was a bit tired and I noticed a few hairs on mine (hopefully the cleaners!). The van was quite pricey too for a short break, but unsurprising that they were spiked for the IOW festival.
