On the positive front, the apartment is fine. There are 2 bedrooms, one double with an en-suite bathroom with a tub and half shower and a single bedroom. There is a second bathroom with a proper shower. The only hot water we achieved in the apartment during the week was in the shower. Cold shaving and washing-up but it was ok. In-between the two bedrooms is a compact area which comprises, sitting area (two sofas - one very comfortable, the other should be thrown out), kitchen area, washing machine, microwave, fridge. TV with a few Thai channels so redundant for us but no big deal. It's all very small but equally, it's all there so for our purposes it was really fine. Location was good, about a 5-minute walk to the huge Night Market and maybe 15 minutes' walk to the Old Town. The airport taxi took just over 10 minutes.

This property is marketed as Astra Luxury Condo. The first thing to note is that there is nothing luxurious about this flat, at all. Thus, our arrival was inevitably a disappointment. So, be warned. If you want luxury, you won't find any here. The host was extremely sparse on the communication front. He sent the arrival information because I contacted him 36 hours before arrival because I had heard nothing. Then it was minimal and only enhanced when I requested better info. When it's a lockbox check-in, you need as much info as possible. There were two key cards for use for the room/elevators/security doors. Only one of the keys worked for the separate pool/gym elevator which was inconvenient as we would use the gym at different times and had to keep swapping keys. The host did not think it necessary to tell us the pool/gym elevator is different to the main elevator.

The property was very clean and I liked the fact that it had washing facilities. The condo itself was very nice and everything we needed.

We was on the seventh floor and the pool was on the 16th floor, you had to rely on the lifts to get up if you didn’t want to walk a lot of stairs and sometimes that one of the lifts was out of use.

De locatie. Dichtbij mooie wandelingen langs het Mae Kha Canal , de binnenstad en de avond markten zijn prima lopend te bereiken.

Het appartement. Wij hadden de "luxe" variant maar konden er niks luxe aan vinden. Behalve de wasmachine is alles gedateerd. Vlekken op de stoelen, een bankje waar je nog geen 5 minuten op kan zitten zonder rugpijn en een hard bed. Het was er zeker niet schoon . In andere reviews heb ik niets gelezen over mieren in het appartement, wel vreemd dat er in het keukenkastje een spuitbus stond met verdelingsmiddel. Wij hebben 3 keer moeten spuiten.
