The Homely Retreat Spacious Ground Floor Flat Near Oxford City Centre, Free Parking

Quiet location outside of town but still close enough to bus connections and can walk into Oxford comfortably in half an hour or so. Simple but good facilities, reasonably quick repair organised on a Saturday by host when shower head fell apart.

Even though we had arranged an hour earlier check-in time and received written confirmation, we didn't receive keysafe details in time and the cleaner knew nothing of our earlier check-in time when we turned up at the house as arranged. She was however super friendly and accommodating and let us in while she finished her work, so all good. Security deposit wasn't just a temporary hold on a credit card, the full amount was actually withdrawn, but not returned again on day of checkout. I followed up a couple of days later and then the deposit amount was immediately refunded, fortunately the currency exchange rate hadn't changed significantly, but there could be the potential to lose money due to exchange rate movement if unlucky. Reason given for delayed refund was a bank holiday, but these days such online transfers can generally be immediate regardless of weekends or holidays.

Spotlessly clean and everything we needed for our stay. Clear instructions for check in. Host was very quick to respond from point of booking. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.
