Atour Hotel People's Square Metro Station, Nanjing East Road The Bund Shanghai

The hotel was great! Although it had a small lobby, it still served its purpose and the staff were always accommodating and helpful even though there was a language barrier. They went out of their way to help my sister with her food delivery. I needed a wheelchair for my whole stay there and was pleased to learn they could provide one, and it was in good condition! Location of the hotel was nice as well. Good walking distance to Nanjing Pedestrian Street and to many tourist spots, restaurants and shopping malls nearby (Huaihai Middle Road, JoyCity Mall, HeyTea, McDonald’s, Haidilao, KFC). Our rooms were great and comfortable, always came back to a clean and made-up room. I liked the breakfast buffet— selections weren’t much but they had 4 types of eggs, meat, veggies, soup, various bread, salad, yogurt and such, which I think suffices enough for a good breakfast spread. I’d definitely book this hotel again for my family and I!

The only thing I didn’t like was the smoke and smell from the smoking area would reach the lobby. It was awful and uncomfortable especially since the waiting area and mini library/reading area are located there as well.
