    Location was excellent and very convenient. The only downside was that we had to take the stairs up one floor from the ground level to reach the elevator, but it was manageable. The staff kindly helped us carry our luggage, which we really appreciated. > > We were also able to check in slightly before the official check-in time. The two female staff members were especially friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. The staff also had a translation device available and used it very helpfully to communicate with us, which made everything much easier. > > On my partner’s birthday, we asked for help ordering a cake quite late at night. One of the female staff members kindly helped us place the order and took great care of everything. We truly appreciate her kindness and excellent service. Thank you!

    We stayed here for 2 nights and unfortunately, the experience seriously disrupted our Shanghai trip. The room lost power 3 times. The first time was in the middle of the night. A front desk staff member (not a professional technician) came up to fix it, during which there were sparks and a loud bang/explosion sound, which was frightening. We were rushing to Disneyland, so we had to request another room just to freshen up. The room given to us had apparently just been cleaned, so we were told to use another room that had just been checked out and was still dirty. After being told the issue was fixed, the power went out again within minutes. When we returned around 11pm, we specifically confirmed with reception that it had been fixed and would not happen again but 15 minutes later, the power went out again while one of us was showering. We eventually had to move into two small rooms for the night. We had stayed here a few days earlier and charged the same items (phones and power banks) without any issues, yet this time we were repeatedly questioned about whether we had used high-power electrical devices. Another extremely frustrating incident: while changing rooms, one side of our shoes went missing. Reception repeatedly asked us to check our own luggage, and the manager even asked to check our bags after she couldn't find the shoe in the original room. Then, while walking back to our room to check our luggage, the manager found the missing shoe in the hotel's pile/container of used towels. We understand that the cleaning staff may have made a mistake, but it was frustrating to be repeatedly suspected that we might have kept the shoe in our own luggage instead of the hotel first checking its own cleaning process. We requested compensation for the significant disruption, lost time, stress, lack of sleep and impact on our travel plans. After speaking with her boss, we were offered only around RMB 450 off our bill, which we felt was completely disproportionate to the experience. The manager also offered Shanghai souvenirs worth around RMB 60 as compensation, but even forgot to give them to us until we had already reached the airport. Technical problems can happen, but the Very disappointing stay – repeated power outages and poor service recovery service recovery and handling of the situation were extremely disappointing. We would definitely not stay here again.

    Don't like the part where I got to climb the stairs everytime I go out or come back. Lift is small and it can only squeeze in around 4 pax. Room is small for group with young kids as stroller has to be place at reception. Location is great but not so good for taxi pick up or drop off. Got to walk a bit to the pick up location or from drop off point.
