Beautiful cottage with hidden garden

Parking was a bit hit & miss if there’s space on the road.

The cottage is really cute and cosy and we enjoyed a lovely break here! The garden is plentiful and pretty and there is a lovely little balcony off the 2nd bedroom. Overall very pleasant and would recommended 😊

Cobwebs galore which I expect above head height but window sills were covered so not sure they have been cleared recently! No freezer which was disappointing seen as we stayed during a heatwave, would have been very beneficial! Cooker sets the smoke alarm off when used , I had read this in previous reviews but thought it may have been resolved but this was not the case, meaning the cooker is practically unusable.

Lots of cobwebs, and using the cooker/ hob was difficult as it set the fire alarm off which was really tricky for our autistic daughter

Beautiful building and cottage garden.

Surfaces dirty and full of cobwebs, the damp smell was quite overpowering at times, black mould on the walls in the living room, 1 roll of toilet paper between 3 of us for 5 days, no tea towels or sponges for washing up and the washing machine doesn't work properly. Garden is beautiful but not well maintained (roses have also overgrown onto balcony area so we couldn't sit out there and enjoy that space) We would happily stay again when we come back to Devon next year, but we would need to see some better reviews in respect of the cleanliness before we booked.
