Quirky, comfortable, converted Chapel

The chapel is beautiful. Winkleigh is a lovely small town and the host Patty is very friendly and always eager to help.

The location was great for the centre and very quiet, excellent parking. The overall feel of the place was quirky as advertised but in a nice way. Very clean and the shower was good.

Can't really think of any dislike to be honest. It's not for anyone with mobility issues or young children

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful property, the host was so welcoming with little extras to make us feel like valued guests, there was literally nothing missing that we could have needed, great instructions on everything that might have felt tricky. We had a warm and comfortable stay with no issues what so ever.

There was nothing we didn’t like

The helpful host who is very good at making sure you get any information you might want before you leave home. The long dining table which allowed space to spread out and read newspapers pre-ordered from the village shop. The log burning stove in the cosy lounge/ dining room which, as a new experience, we found to be very efficient, very easy to use and control. The peace and quiet of the chapel. The feeling of internal space. The allocated parking space off road and by the door. The blissfully comfortable bed. A fridge and deep freeze to store the food and drinks you need to take with you from home. The close proximity of the small village store, a cafe (check opening days) doing hot breakfasts, coffee and lunch only a 2min. walk away, and, equally close, The Kings Arms for dinner, (check days meals are served), which we pre-booked. Other shops on the, now easily missed,WW2 aerodrome. The information provided in a file which covers all we needed to know on site. The change of pace provided in the centre of a Devon village. Being there for 7 nights...
