Nice Renting - HONORE - Elegant apartment near Promenade des Anglais

Proximity to the beach and good transport to the airport.

Everything is fine.

The apartment was small, but it was enough for a short trip. It had everything I needed: a bed, a small kitchen, and a bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. The location was very good, not far from the sea and the city center. I could easily walk to the promenade and enjoy the view. I think this apartment is a good choice for a short stay. It is simple, but nice and convenient.

In general the accomodation has modern furniture and devices, including fully equipped kitchen, iron, AC, what brings huge value to it for sure. The best part of this accomodation is the location. It is comfortably close to public transport, airport, city centre. There are many grocery shops nearby and the most relaxing beach we found in those days.

1) Weird check-in: I don't understand the reason of asking about arrival time two weeks ahead, mentioning self-checkin time from 3pm, approving the same 3 pm time in Booking.com, and then not having the apartment available by that time under excuse that in messages I mentioned approximate time and clearly marked it that I will reconfirm the day before arrival. Sending the screenshot of my response where it is clearly said that it is not exact time and will be reconfirmed was especially ridiculous. 2) Staff: It is hypocritical to me when people pretend to be super caring weeks ahead, mention numbers to call if there is an emergency (no key in the locker by check in), but then respond in a very passive aggressive way. Aka "We are at your service", but when you say "There is no key", "There is no second set of towels", they start asking for photos, proves, and answering in a way that feels like they want you to be in blame and want to get rid of you asap. 3) Cleanliness: The apartment was supposed to be freshly cleaned right before we entered. The floor was wet indeed, but dirty. The sponge for washing the dishes and the towel looked like they haven't been changed or washed for months. So we had to buy own sponges not to feel disgusted. I wouldn't wash a toilet with that sponge. I understand that the dishes are washed by the visitors, but if you emphasize the cleaning so much as your excuse for late check-in, why don't you even check how dirty the dishes are. 4) Bathroom: We lacked second set of towels, mentioned it, got passive aggressive response and decided not to waste our vacation time on those clarifications and simply shared one set. Toilet paper - it is so thin you need half a roll for 1 day. Either add more rolls or use at least 2-layers paper. Water stays in the shower. It is not dramatically flooded, while you are showering, but still could be cool to clean it to make water run properly.
