Mary Ann Apartment

The apartment wasn't perfect but it was not far short of that. The open plan design was absolutely fine for a couple - but might not be quite so convenient for a larger group. Kitchen was good, shower was good, didn't use the washing machine or dishwasher but I'm sure they would be a bonus for longer stays or when eating in. Location is excellent and quiet. Everything is clean and tidy and works.

There are a few very minor issues - there is no full length mirror, because it is a basement there is slightly limited natural light, can very occasionally hear furniture movement or people walking in apartment above, there are a fair few harmless woodlice that venture in and may need removing.

Great location for city exploration and easy to return to throughout the day. Modern amenities in a nice traditional home. Very spacious with multiple rooms, wifi and television, although the extra space was not really necessary for my partner and I - but still a great price for the size.

The unit being garden level has its downsides- we stayed during hot days, but opening the windows is less than ideal with bugs and less a sense of security (although the area seems very safe). There were spider webs in many corners with spiders, and cobwebs we would occasionally walk through. We had to take care of a fairly large wolf spider at one point. Our main complaint would be the upstairs neighbors, who seemed to wake early and come home late- footsteps are very audible, and I would guess they have a young child who runs laps indoors throughout many hours of the day, shaking the ceiling. They will stomp on the ceiling aggressively if you call up to them asking the noise to stop.

Wonderfully spacious and well equipped apartment - we stayed for a long weekend and found the apartment perfect for us. Host was very communicative. Wonderful on Sunday to also hear the Church bells. Apartment is in a secluded and very private area. Maybe giving the What3words might help with locating the entrance.

Absolutely superb all the way around. Unique and spacious. In a perfect location. Great open plan layout, and has everything you need facilities wise, for a stay in central Inverness. Great lighting options (which comes in handy for an open-plan layout). The price was very good too.

It is a basement, and while otherwise very quiet, you can hear footsteps from upstairs occasionally. It was fine for me personally, but that was the only very minor thing for what is a lovely space for exploring Inverness.
