Apt Central Hotel de Ville

-Great location only a couple of blocks from the metro station that services much of the tourist area of downtown Paris. -clean -Several shops and restaurants right outside the door. -There is a nice living room with a separate bedroom. -Good water pressure in the shower -The kitchen has a stove, water, espresso maker, and toaster oven. -There is a washing machine as well, but you would need to bring your own detergent Some have mentioned key access difficulties. For us, we had to visit a small shop a block away from the apartment, show the clerk a code and we were given a key. It was pretty easy, and the instructions were clear. There was an electronic tag that you tapped for the front door and interior door to open. Lastly, the photos of the apartment show a red arched door. As of Aug 2026 the door is NOT red, but in the process of being painted. There isn’t a house number at the moment either.

Overall it’s a decent place, but there are a couple amenities that keep it from being higher rated. We booked three nights, but relocated after the 2nd night for a couple reasons. 1) I was pickpocketed on a crowded bus and wanted out of the city center. 2) the heat wave in Paris made the space uncomfortable to stay in. I’ll just list a few specifics so future bookers can be aware: -The apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. If you struggle with stairs while hauling luggage you should be aware. - because it’s on the third floor it is HOT. We knew the was no a/c and the weather isn’t controlled by the owner, but when it’s 100F/40c outside there needs to be some way to ventilate the space. There were two small desk fans. That’s it. I have a thermometer on my bag and I’m not sure it ever got cooler than 87 in the room. - the temp issue was made more uncomfortable by the ongoing construction, which I was made aware of a week before our stay. As of August 2026 there is construction scaffolding and plastic over the front of the building, which restricts airflow when windows are open. That means that the air is damp from the shower and stale from no airflow. It carried a bit of a strange odor, which wasn’t unbearable but it wasn’t pleasant either. - the toilet room is very small. You need to do a little dance in order to get in and close the door. If you’re older or a larger person this will be challenging. I’m 6’2” and had a hard time. - as others have noted, it is a low, hand held shower. It works fine, but it’s not a style that an American would be used to. - the couch might be the most uncomfortable thing I’ve sat on, but my daughter said the fold-out bed was decent. The main bed is firm, but passable. Ultimately, I found myself wishing I had opted to stay at a hotel a little further from town. The transit may have been worth access to comforts such as not sweating profusely while I sleep.

Superbe appartement propre, confortable, bien équipé et idéalement situé dans le centre ville et à coté d'une station de métro. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour.

Malheureusement pour nous, l'immeuble était en travaux et derrière échafaudages...aucune vue.

The location was perfect, near Notre Dame and lots of great shops and restaurants.

Les clés ont dû être récupérées ds un débit de tabac et en arrivant la clef n’ouvrait pas, il faisait 35degres ds le couloir, pas d’air et après 1,5 h de tractation avec le propriétaire ou son sAV, on nous a demandé de récupérer d’autres clefs sur un vélo bleu parmi 30 vélos bleus ds une sacoche ds laquelle se trouvait 1 boîte à clés
