Appartement Vertus

The appartment has character. The location is brilliant, that was the key factor for our trip. There is a great breakfast place, KITCHEN, just round the corner and lots of bars and restaurants. The owner was fantastic, lots of help and always available. He gave us tips for where to eat and stored our bags. Really good service. We were 2 adults and a child and the apartment was perfect. If you want an appatment with character, air conditioning and in a fantastic location, this could be the one. I would give it 8.5 if it was possible.

There is one small bathroom and toilet, which is fine for two adults and a child, but definitely not for 5 adults. The stairs are difficult, both up to the apartment and from the first floor to the mezzanine in the apartment... it would be a problem for elderly people. If you struggle with narrow, steep stairs, or want a simple, modern appartment then it's not for you.

The beds were very comfortable, there were lots of towels, it was very thoughtfully prepared. Everything we needed was provided. It was also close to several metro stations. The main floor layout was very nice.

The booking.com website showed the apartment was air-conditioned but the property we were at was not and we were there during an extreme heat wave. The contact was very good and agreed the website was not clear and provided a mobile air-conditioner for us. The elevator also stopped working, but again, the staff were very helpful and helped us get our luggage down on our last day.

Beautifully kept property and really valued the kitchenette and extra details such as the towel warming rack, blow dryer/ hair curler and umbrellas. The location was also perfect!

The only downfall was the limited hot water, which would run out quite quickly. We stayed in summer however so it wasn’t too much of an issue.
