From the Sea to the Vöörland: Where you’ll find our Vöörland vacation home today, there used to be nothing but a sandy beach—and thus foreland—in Low German, “Vöörland”—long before the heyday of seaside resort tourism began in St. Peter-Ording.
This area lay outside the first small dike and was flooded with every incoming tide.
It was only through decades of land reclamation and the construction of an additional outer dike that the locals were able to build the first small guesthouses for beachgoers in this area reclaimed from the North Sea.
Our great-grandparents were among them in 1902.
Thus, our family has been in the lodging business for four generations, and it remains a labor of love for us to provide our guests with a relaxing, wonderful vacation in our home.
Lower Level: The first floor is divided into a living area, a spacious kitchen, and a guest bathroom with a shower and toilet.
From the living area—called a “Wohnstuv” in Low German—you can look out through large floor-to-ceiling windows onto your furnished, south/west-facing terrace, which features a cozy beach chair for your use. We’ve also provided a modern grill to ensure you enjoy relaxed and unforgettable evenings cooking outdoors.
The “Wohnstuv” features a cozy sitting area with a flat-screen TV, Bluetooth docking station, and sound system, as well as a spacious dining table that invites you to linger together.
In the open kitchen—equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso capsule machine, coffee maker, and much more—you’ll find plenty of space for your next culinary adventure.
Upper Level
The first floor features two bedrooms decorated in a Nordic style, each equipped with a double bed and a flat-screen TV. A third bedroom features two single beds placed side by side.
The upper floor also includes a high-quality bathroom with a spacious shower, sink, and toilet.

Situated in a central, quiet location, this vacation home is right next to the historic village center, near the church, and runs parallel to Badallee, which connects the bustling resort town with the historic village of Sankt Peter.
From here, you can easily stroll through the idyllic village on foot, enjoy a chat over a cozy cup of Frisian tea, or walk to the South Beach (the most authentic beach in Sankt Peter). It’s also not far to the new promenade in the spa and health resort center.
