Le Cosy du Brasseur - Magnifique Duplex, Proche Strasbourg

We really appreciated the interior design; the apartment looks very nice and stylish inside. The bathroom was beautifully renovated, and we were very happy to find plenty of towels provided for our stay. Another huge plus was how well-equipped the kitchen was. From various spices to all kinds of kitchen utensils, everything was there for cooking. Even though we didn't end up cooking because we were busy with the conference and eating out, it was great to see that everything was available if we had wanted to. The apartment also has plenty of windows, which makes it very easy to air out and get a good breeze going.

While the location is accurate on the map, it felt a bit more suburban and further out from the city than we initially expected (it took us about 30 minutes to commute to our week-long conference). This is definitely not the host's fault, but just a heads-up for future guests so they aren't surprised. Also, from the outside, it is not a classic Alsatian house like the ones you see in the Petite France district, which is good to be prepared for. Additionally, we arrived during a heatwave and there was no air conditioning. Since there were two of us sleeping on different levels (one upstairs in the bedroom and one downstairs on the sofa bed), we asked the hosts for a second fan. While they were very communicative at first and promised to arrange it, they unfortunately never delivered it. Because of the heat, we had to leave the windows open, but this meant the garbage truck woke us up every morning at 4 AM. Lastly, the cleanliness lacked attention to detail. We noticed dusty surfaces, crumbs in the cutlery drawer, and some broken items left inside the drawers (like a broken pair of scissors and a broken hanger-like object). While these are minor things, they give the impression that cleanliness and maintenance aren't perfectly managed.
