Tranquility Lodge, next to Paradise

We stayed in these apartments twice while visiting Sofia from England for dental treatment and, of course, to enjoy Bulgarian and Russian cuisine. The apartment is very comfortable and located in a brand-new building that still doesn’t appear on some maps — which honestly scared us a little during our first taxi ride from the airport! 😅 But Sofia is growing incredibly quickly, and new residential areas seem to be appearing like mushrooms after the rain. It’s a studio apartment with stairs leading up to a bed built above the main living area. Despite this unusual design, it was surprisingly comfortable and didn’t feel cramped at all. Overall, it’s very good value for money and we’re already planning to return. A special thank you to Mr Emil for the warm welcome, excellent 24/7 communication and help with navigating the city. ❤️

The only downsides were the air conditioning, which we couldn’t get to work (although perhaps we simply didn’t understand how to use it), and the lack of a microwave. There were also no curtains, which meant the neighbours occasionally had the opportunity to witness some rather unexpected views through our ground-floor windows. 😅

Мы останавливались в этих апартаментах уже дважды, когда приезжали в Софию из Англии на лечение зубов и заодно наслаждались болгарской и русской кухней. Апартаменты находятся в совершенно новом доме, которого пока даже нет на некоторых картах. В первый раз по дороге из аэропорта это нас немного напугало 😅, но потом мы поняли, что София сейчас очень быстро развивается и новые жилые кварталы здесь действительно растут как грибы после дождя. Сама квартира представляет собой уютную студию с необычной планировкой: кровать расположена наверху, и к ней ведёт небольшая лестница. Сначала конструкция кажется необычной, но на практике всё оказалось очень удобно, а квартира совершенно не ощущается тесной. Отдельное спасибо мистеру Эмилю за тёплый приём, постоянную связь и помощь с навигацией по Софии. Отличный хозяин! ❤️

Есть несколько небольших моментов. Нам не удалось заставить кондиционер работать — хотя вполне возможно, что мы просто не разобрались, как им пользоваться. Также нам немного не хватало микроволновки. И ещё хотелось бы добавить шторы на окна. Поскольку квартира находится на первом этаже, без них соседи при определённых обстоятельствах могут увидеть немного больше, чем планировали. 😅 Но это небольшие недостатки, которые совершенно не испортили наше впечатление.

Excellent location: close to a shopping centre, bus stops, and the metro station. The owner was quick to respond, polite and helpful in communication. Clear and easy to follow check-in instructions. Hairdryer, iron, washing machine, and dryer are provided. Fast internet. The sofa can be converted into a sleeping area. Ground floor, which is very convenient with luggage - the entrance door is very close to the apartment. The roller blind on the window facing the entrance can be controlled from inside the apartment.

No microwave or kettle. The kitchen is not sufficiently equipped with dishes and cutlery. We managed how to turn on the air conditioner, but after a short time it started leaking, so it was not possible to properly cool the room. The upper bed was uncomfortable, so we slept on the sofa for the rest of our stay. There were no curtains when we arrived. We later found them in the wardrobe, but there was no proper way to attach them. The bathroom window also has no blind or privacy covering, which made us concerned about privacy. The sofa had stains on it. When we arrived, it felt as though the apartment had been cleaned in a hurry, also we found the bed linen we needed for sleep in the dryer.
