Loft de la Chapelle Sainte Blandine

Comfortable, stylish apartment in an historic building. Quiet location under 10 minutes walk from the station and close to the city centre. There is also a luggage storage facility (Metz.city-locker.com) just 2 minutes away where we left our luggage for the day before checking in. Good shower, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Good communication with the owner.

Whilst the shower room looked good, the tiny wash basin is not really practical and was difficult to use without getting wet! Light switches were confusing, but we worked them out eventually.

Wunderschönes Loft in der Chapelle de Blandine , ein Raum mit Atmosphäre, hell , luftig , mit Liebe designed und hochwertigst ausgestattet , sorgfältig gepflegt ! Ruhige Lage , naher Parkplatz . Ein außergewöhnlicher Ort mit viel Flair. Für uns die schönste Bleibe in der bezaubernden Stadt Metz! Herzlichen Dank an Philippe für die persönliche Führung durch die Ausstellung in der Chapelle und die interessierten Informationen!

The described box for returning keys were not to be found. A bit frustration. But a call solved without further issue.

The Loft is an extra special place to stay. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and accessorised. You can tell that great attention to detail has been given to sourcing excellent quality items and furnishings. Very comfortable firm mattress and hotel quality sheets. Amazing Grohe push button shower. Very effective air conditioning which was priceless in this hot weather! Cool and airy, with optional electric blinds to cover the huge window on one side. Otherwise, not overlooked. Positioned just on the edge of the old town, so easy to stroll into the centre within 5 minutes, or another 5 back to the railway station in the other direction. We found it easy to find, and access was relatively simple. There is a stone spiral staircase to access the property, with about 27 steps to the first floor. We were lucky to meet the owner Philippe who was happy to give us a tour of the attached chapel. Highly recommended!

Very little to dislike! However, maybe some wall hooks would be useful to hang outerwear (not needed in this hot weather though!), a shelf in the bathroom to put frequently used toiletries, a full length mirror (the only mirror is in the bathroom above the sink), and perhaps some more kitchenware and bowls. (We didn’t cook at all in the apartment, but if you wanted to do so, there is a basic selection of cookware, and a nice hob/oven)
