I just left Lion King jungle Cabanas and I wanted to share with you how wonderful stay I had 💖 The location is perfect, tucked away on a quiet secondary road, so you’re fully surrounded by nature and can really relax, yet still close enough to restaurants and shops. What truly made the experience special was the hospitality. Adith was incredibly kind and attentive throughout my stay, always there whenever I needed anything, even moving my motorbike into the shade when he realised it was in the burning sun 🙏 And I can’t forget to mention his shakshuka… absolutely out of this world! One of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with genuine hospitality, felt truly taken care of 🌸

Pool was amazing in the afternoon after some morning hikes! Loved being surrounded by nature. Breakfast was also incredible. Every morning was different and delicious and far too much for one person! And unlimited drinking water! Staff was also amazing - I wish I could remember his name but he went out of his way to take myself and another guest to a sunrise hike and always made sure we had cold water.

It’s a bit of a trek out of town. It’s around 16 mins walk to the entrance of Sigiriya Rock, 30 mins to the start of the main strip and you can’t walk in the dark due to animals roaming so can be a slight hassle getting tuktuks back at night (just expect to pay more than during the day). But it is intentionally secluded which is lovely, just being realistic about distances as other reviews have said it’s only a short walk to town.

Basic…no kettle, extra bed not made up, steep stairs to upstairs mattress, no chest of drawers for a longer stay, sun loungers uncomfortable
