il Frangipane

Our family loved the accomodation, beautiful pool, breakfast was delicious, great location to restaurants and activities, fabulous staff!

Il Frangipane exceeded all of my expectations. Sigirya was never even on our places to visit, but I am so glad we did. Il Frangipane is like a small slice of paradise. It is located on a peaceful side street off a local village road. Upon entry you are immediately made to feel welcome. Our girls were delighted with the complimentary fresh juice given to them everyday. Everyone we passed in Sigiriya smiled or waved at the children. And the theme of friendliness continues at Il Frangipane. The staff are truly exceptional here. Genuinely friendly, kind and couldn't be nicer to our children, particularly Nalaka. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The steps in the swimming pool were a little sharp!

A beautiful sanctuary from the comings and goings of Sigiriya and a perfect place to base yourself for the wonderful travel offerings in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food delicious and it was great to relax by the pool after a day out walking around.

It has a pool and it was in a good location.

I stayed in the ‘suite’ which was a grey concrete box (very dark, very slippery) with sliding glass doors which meant everyone could see into your room unless you kept the curtains shut making it even darker. There is no food on the premises during the day and no coffee except sachets of instant.
